The
underground rapper Kid Cudi has recently gained steam since his second
official album caused a stir for its strong beats and tight rhymes.
However, the hip hop star is moving past "Man on the Moon II: The
Legend of Mr. Rager" to work on a new project that isn't quite
music-related, according to MTV.
Kid Cudi, also known as Scott Mescudi, will be making reoccurring appearances in season two of "How to Make It In America" on HBO. His co-workers say that viewers can anticipate his character to grow throughout the next season as Mescudi's acting career blooms as well.
"He has his head on straight," Bryan Greenberg, Mescudi's co-star, told the news source. "He really saw what an amazing opportunity this was," "My hat goes off to him because he is fully focused, and they wrote a lot more for him this season."
On "How to Make It In America," Mescudi plays a party animal named Domingo in New York. The rapper may have prior experience, judging by the lyrics heard on his past two albums and mix tape. Mescudi recently released the music video for his latest single, "Marijuana," and plans to create a new video by summer 2011.
