Tips on Secretly Finding Out Her Ring Size

When you get engaged there's nothing worse than proposing with a ring the wrong size (Well maybe her saying no!). Of course asking your girlfriend her ring size will ruin the surprise that you're about to propose to her. Here are some tricks to finding out her ring size without her knowing so when you slip that expensive rock on her finger it will fit like a glove.

  1. Snoop in her Jewelry Box: Grab a ring from her jewelry box and put it on your finger. Then use a pen to trace where it lands on your finger. Then head to a local jewelry shop and they can help you figure out her size
  2. String Theory: Late at night while your loved one is sleeping, carefully use a piece of thread or string and wrap it around her finger. Then use this website to match it up. This of course will only work if she's a sound sleeper.
  3. With a Little Help From Her Friends: Ask one of her friends to help you out. The friend will suggest looking at rings (just fashion jewelry, not fancy ones) on a shopping trip. When she tries on one that fits the correct finger have her make sure that your girlfriend doesn't buy it and have the friend secretly slip it to someone at the store to hold for you. Then when you get the green light, rush over to the store and buy it, then take it with you when buying the engagement ring. The jeweler will size it for you.
