Summertime is wedding season, and if your friends are of a certain age, odds are you've got a ceremony or two on the schedule this summer. For daytime ceremonies, especially outdoor ones, we recommend embracing soft, pastel hues. Stay away from anything too white or neutral - you don't want to step on the bride's toes! - but flirty oranges, feminine pinks and soft sky blues are all perfect for an afternoon wedding. And keep those hems short - with the temperatures soaring, you're better off in a strapless number that hits above the knee.

For a nighttime wedding, you can get a little bolder. Deep reds, blues and greens are sure to be a hit on the dance floor at any evening reception, and don't shy away from patterns!

Weddings are happy occasions, so let your outfit reflect that. Nothing too heavy or somber - you want something as light, flouncy and dreamy as the ceremony itself!
