Summertime is wedding season, and if your friends are of a
certain age, odds are you've got a ceremony or two on the schedule this
summer. Are you stumped about what to sport to your friend from high
school's nuptials? Wondering what's appropriate at your cousin's
beachfront ceremony? We've got your handy-dandy wedding attire handbook
right here.
For daytime ceremonies, especially outdoor ones, we recommend embracing soft, pastel hues. Stay away from anything too white or neutral - you don't want to step on the bride's toes! - but flirty oranges, feminine pinks and soft sky blues are all perfect for an afternoon wedding. And keep those hems short - with the temperatures soaring, you're better off in a strapless number that hits above the knee.
For a nighttime wedding, you can get a little bolder. Deep reds, blues and greens are sure to be a hit on the dance floor at any evening reception, and don't shy away from patterns!
Weddings are happy occasions, so let your outfit reflect that. Nothing too heavy or somber - you want something as light, flouncy and dreamy as the ceremony itself!
