Wedding seating ideas

altIf your big day is just around the corner, there's no doubt you've got a lot on your plate! From picking out table linens and decorations to making sure the venue is ready for your big event, planning a wedding is a lot of hard work! There's just one more think to think about: Where will your guests sit?

If you're planning on a traditional wedding with a sit-down dinner, large round tables are probably your best bet. You can choose charming wooden chairs or decorate your seats with clean white coverings. To make guests more comfortable, assigned seating can create a relaxed atmosphere and allow wedding attendees who may not be acquainted to get to know one another.

Some couples prefer banquet seating, where guests all sit at a few long tables arranged to face each other. This style is excellent for small weddings, where family and friends all want to be able to chat with one another over the meal.
For a more casual, cozy setting, skip the fancy tables and chairs and opt for some couches, ottomans, high-top tables and other unconventional seating arrangements. This will allow your guests to mingle freely and pick the seats of their choosing as their needs change throughout the evening. Instead of a sit-down dinner, offer a buffet or a selection of small, tapas-style plates.
